Tell me a little bit about your property

Robin Hill Farm Cottages is surrounded by rolling green fields in North Devon, near the ‘little white town’ of Bideford. We lovingly converted some farm barns into 6 holiday cottages which are full of character and original features.

How do you get there?

We are a one hour drive across North Devon from J27 on the M5

In a nutshell, why is your property baby and toddler friendly?

We have a heated indoor swimming pool which young guests love, as well as a grassy play area to run around in. There is also a climbing frame to clamber up and a slide to whizz down.
Mums and Dads like not having to bring cot or highchairs and our site is also car free with secure parking and cycle storage.

What facilities do you have onsite for babies and toddlers?

Our games room has a toddlers corner with a wendy house, swing, rockers and strollers and we also have an outdoor wendy house complete with ‘kitchen’ and picnic table.

We have a small library of toddler books and toys and lots of DVDs.

Each cottage has black out blinds and plug covers plus children’s cutlery and ‘crockery’.
Finally, babies and toddlers can learn to swim at Robin Hill Farm Cottages – we link you with a local, fully trained, swimming instructor who gets rave reviews to help your little one learn to swim.

What facilities do you have onsite for parents?

Parents love our hot tub which is in the pool room as well as relaxing on our sun terrace. They can also play table tennis, air hockey or table football in the Games Room.

A walk around our 14 acres of pasture and woodland is always a feast for the senses with banks of wildflower and birds and wildlife to be discovered.

We have bed guards, cots and highchairs on request. There is a tumble drier and washing machine in the shared laundry (Gull and Puffin cottages also have a washing machine each) and each enclosed cottage garden has a washing line.

What are the best baby and toddler friendly days out in the local area?

The Big Sheep is only 3 miles away with sheep and lambs, ball pit, rides, and bouncy pillows. Another popular attraction is the The Milky Way with its Little Stars toddler zone. A cycle ride along the Tarka Trail is a must (all bike hire shops have toddler carriers). The Gnome Reserve is loved by all our visitors (you must wear a pointed hat!) And, of course, our vast sandy beaches – the nearest are Westward Ho! (4 miles) or Instow (6 miles)

What safety equipment do you provide for babies and toddlers?

The pool is locked and each cottage has an access key. All the gardens are fully enclosed and there are no water features in the garden. The car park is set away from the cottages. There are stairgates for all the cottages with internal stairs and there is fire guard for the oil fired stove in Wren Cottage

How far is the nearest shop?

It is 3 miles to the Atlantic Village outlet shops where there is an Asda

How much does your property cost for an average week in June?

A 2 bedroom sleep 4 cottage costs from £600; a larger 3 bedroom sleep 6 cottage starts at £830

Three of our cottages are dog friendly if your family includes a 4 legged friend. The larger cottages are ideal for including grandparents.
