The Les Mortiers baby friendly gites in village of Parcay Les Pins in the Loire Valley come highly recommended by parents. Babies and toddlers will have fun swimming in the saline treated swimming pool, feeding the chickens and making dens! Parents can relax in the tranquil surroundings safe in the knowledge that their little ones are having a great holiday!
Why will babies and toddlers love these gites?
At Les Mortiers, babies and toddlers can spend happy days feeding the chickens and collecting eggs with Mike, the owner. Imagine their delight when they can eat the eggs they found earlier for their tea!
The swimming pool is perfect for babies and toddlers. It is heated and and treated with saline instead of chlorine which is much kinder to young skins. Also, there is a PVC liner which means that surfaces are much softer than preformed or tiled swimming pools. The pool abri (cover) changes the outdoor pool to an indoor pool to suit the weather. This extends the season of the heated pool for swimming from mid-March to early November. It also protects babies and toddlers from the strong sun and wind extending the swimming season throughout the year. There is good quality paving all around the swimming pool and three areas of decking for parents to relax on.
Babies and toddlers can practice learning to swim at Les Mortiers as the pool steps face across the pool, rather than towards the deeper end of the pool – this makes it safer for young children and easier for parents to control.
There is plenty of space within the gites for toddlers to run around and explore their new surroundings. There is also a den making kit (a wheelbarrow filled with camouflage netting and canvas) for little ones to do some imaginative play.
Why will parents love this property?
Parents will love the clear night skies with no light pollution – you will be able to sit outside after the babies have gone to bed and enjoy a glass of wine and star gazing!
The gites are situated in a peaceful and quiet location – there are no neighbours and they are located safely off a quiet road.
If you need provisions, the village of Parçay Les Pins is only one kilometre away. There’s a café bar, boulangerie for fresh bread, a village shop and a small market each week. You can visit the two market gardens for fresh fruit and vegetables and get seasonal produce from the potager.
Jean and Mike do everything they can to help you have a good night’s sleep! There are blackout blinds in all bedrooms to get little ones to sleep on lighter evenings. June is a wonderful time to visit as the temperatures are just right for young children, but the evenings are lighter too! The pool is kept beautifully clean and the water balance checked every day – this is one of the advantages of having owners on site, rather than a ‘guardian’ who visits occasionally or on call.
Mike and Jean have lived at Les Mortiers for 15 years so they have plenty of local knowledge and can help in case of an emergency. They can offer advice on suitable places to visit and restaurants. They offer a convenient shopping service where they will stock up your cupboard with a first shop on arrival to save time.
