There are 137 luxury lodges at Darwin Forest Lodges set within a lush 47-acre woodland paradise.  The lodges sleep between 2 and 8 people and each lodge has a woodland or parkland view and a veranda with outdoor dining furniture – great for al fresco dining in the summer!

There are pet friendly lodges and Spa lodges which have their own private hot tub on the veranda.

All the lodges are luxuriously furnished with comfortable sofas and a dining table and chairs.  The kitchens are very well equipped with a conventional cooker, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and loads of crockery and useful cooking utensils.

There is also a flat screen TV with Freeview and DVD and CD player so you can relax after a busy day out and about.

There are so many toddler friendly days out in the Peak District and Darwin Forest Lodges are in a great location to get to them.

• Go on a toddler friendly bike ride! Drive to Hassop Station and go cycling on the traffic free Monsal Trail which includes cycling through 3 former railway tunnels! Have an ice cream at the Hassop Station Café on your way back!
• Crich Tramway Village is the home of the National Tramway Museum and is the perfect day out for transport loving toddlers. Once you’ve bought your ticket, you can spend the day hopping on and off vintage trams travelling along a mile long stretch of track.
• Gulliver’s Kingdom is a theme park specially designed for children aged 2 – 13. There are loads of rides for toddlers in Adventure Land, Dinosaur Kingdom, Liliput Land and a special Under 5’s indoor play area in Toyland. Gullivers is only 15 mins away from Darwin Forest Lodges.
• The Heights of Abraham  – Another must visit day out in the Peak District! Take the 7 minute cable car up to the top of High Tor hill, and spend the rest of the day exploring the 40 acre hillside park, cave, fossil factory and 2 playgrounds.
• Chatsworth House and Farmyard – Just a 15 minute drive from Darwin Forest Lodges. As well as the formal gardens, there is an amazing farm with pigs, donkeys, chickens, sheep and lots of feeding demos and opportunities.  Toddlers will love the massive play area which includes a separate toddler area and a large sand and water play area.
