There are 6 warm and welcoming cottages at Poltarrow Farm, which have their own lovely gardens and parking, and are set around an open courtyard. Each cottage has its own individual charm and is beautifully furnished and fully equipped with central heating and wood fires so they are homely and cosy throughout the year.
Red Deer Cottage – Sleeps 4+ cot
Red Deer is a sunny 2 bedroom cottage with a pretty double bedroom with lake views. The second bedroom is a cosy twin. The open plan dining / living room has a log fire with doors leading directly onto a south facing terrace. Outdoor dining furniture and barbecue are provided – it’s the perfect place for an early morning breakfast glass of wine after bedtime!
Fallow Cottage – Sleeps 4+ cot
Fallow cottage has a spacious living area with beamed ceilings and wood floors creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The sunny sitting room is the perfect place to unwind and read the morning paper with a cup of coffee.
The double bedroom on the ground floor has an ensuite bathroom with a shower and the twin bedroom has an ensuite with a bath.
Sika Cottage – Sleeps 4+ cot
Sika Cottage is a beautiful holiday cottage with a south facing terrace which opens up onto a spacious living area with open beams and a woodburning stove. The bedrooms are located at the end of the living area – there is a double bedroom with a large ensuite wet room and a twin bedroom with a door leading onto the terrace. The ensuite bathroom has a roll top bath – perfect for a spot of relaxation!
The terrace is a real suntrap and has views across the field to the lake, where you can watch the ducks. There is garden furniture and a barbecue so you can enjoy alfresco dining in the summer.
Roebuck – Sleeps 6+ Cot
Roebuck Cottage has a vaulted ceiling and large windows so it has a light and airy feel and a real sense of space. The large farmhouse table is perfect for family meals and get togethers after a busy day exploring. There is a well equipped kitchen and a sitting room with panoramic views across to the lakes. The 3 bedrooms are located down the winding staircase. There is a double bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and 2 twin bedrooms plus a second bathroom with a bath and shower over.
Stag Cottage – Sleeps 6+ Cot
Stag Cottage is a sensitively restored single storey cottage which has retained many of its natural features. The sitting room has comfy sofas, chairs and a wood fire offering a taste of country living. There are 3 bedrooms; a double with an ensuite and 2 twin bedrooms and a second shower room.
A wooden cot, highchair, stairgate, baby monitor, steriliser, socket covers, plastic table cloth, blackout blinds, plastic bowls and cutlery can be provided for all the cottages. A pushchair and front and back carrier can be borrowed too.
